Willem Noteborn laat zien waarom wetenschappers in de rij staan om met twee Leidse elektronenmicroscopen te werken. Viroloog Ruben Hulswit gebruikt deze om erachter te komen hoe het spike-eiwit van het coronavirus bindt aan cellen. John van der Oost blikt terug op welke rol microscopie speelde in de CRISPR-revolutie.
