On June 3rd Nature magazine published an exciting article on Cryo-EM that makes for an interesting read.
Two different laboratories reported last month that cryo-electron microscopy has now produced images of individual atoms in proteins. Achieving atomic resolution makes it possible for researchers to understand the workings of proteins in unprecedented detail.
